"Few people had the impact on Doctor Who that Terrance Dicks had. He wrote many of the iconic stories like "The War Games", "The Brain of Morbius", "Horror of Fang Rock" and Tom Baker's debut, "Robot." As the script editor during the whole of the Jon Pertwee era, he and his best friend Barry Letts shaped the course of the series and influenced the show for decades to come. He wrote 67 of the Target Books novelizations of televisions stories in addition to writing numerous original novels. He wrote two stage plays -- Doctor Who and the Seven Keys to Doomsday, and Doctor Who: The Ultimate Adventure. Outside of DW, he wrote extensively for television and print, and wrote numerous novel series for kids and teens, including the Baker Street Irregulars. He was a guest twice at past WHOlantas and was an incredibly friendly, funny, and lovable person. His influence on Doctor Who is incalculable and he will be greatly missed.
