We’ve tried to get director GRAEME HARPER to a WHOlanta a few times over the years and it never quite worked out — but 2021 is the charm! Join us for a very special conversation with Mr. Harper, whose Doctor Who career stretches from 1966 to 2009. He first worked on the show when Patrick Troughton was the Doctor, and worked his way up through the ranks on many Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker productions. As a director, he helmed fan favorites for Peter Davison and Colin Baker. He returned to the series in 2006 and became one of the most important directors during the whole of David Tennant’s run. Graeme’s Doctor Who resume includes classics such as “Colony in Space”, “Planet of the Spiders”, “The Seeds of Doom”, “Warrior’s Gate”, “The Caves of Androzani”, “Revelation of the Daleks”, the “Rise of the Cybermen” and “Doomsday” two-parters (for which he won a BAFTA), “Time Crash” featuring David Tennant and a returning Peter Davison, “Turn Left”, the “Stolen Earth” two-parter, and others. He also directed six episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures, plus Robin Hood, Coronation Street, Casualty, Holby City, Hollyoaks, Eastenders, and many other productions. Get a unique insight into the history of Doctor Who from one of the people who helped shape it.
