Conventions
Gallifrey One – the biggest and the best Doctor Who convention anywhere. Now in it’s 26th year. Go if you can, there’s no other experience like it.
DragonCon – Atlanta’s own mega-con. Hosts a full British Sci-Fi track which features lots of Doctor Who content as well as everything else British.
Chicago TARDIS – The Midwest’s PremierDoctor Who event brings together over 2000 fans each Thanksgiving weekend to celebrate the world’s longest-running science fiction television show.
MarksterCon – MarksterCon has gained notoriety for producing unique, themed parties in the Atlanta area, drawing a die-hard crowd of costumers, performers, artists and more.
AnachroCon – Atlanta-based Steampunk convention which has grown to include lots of additional programming, like a Classic Sci-Fi track. TimeGate hosts a Doctor Who track there.
Conjuration – Atlanta-based convention for all things magical: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings/Hobbit, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once Upon a Time, or anything that includes magic!
ConNooga – Based in Chattanooga. Members of the TimeGate family run a Doctor Who track there.
221B – A fantastic convention for all lovers of Sherlock!
Monsterama – a great Atlanta-based convention for classic horror and monster fans
Treklanta – Atlanta-based Star Trek and other space opera shows.
OutlantaCon – Atlanta-based convention for the LGBT audience and their friends.
Cleveland Geekster – A great toy and game collectors’ show in Cleveland, TN run by TimeGate‘s own Ashley Raburn.
Timelord Fest – A series of Doctor Who-themed events in FL (location varies) run by Ken Spivey.
Farragut Fest – You have to see this place to believe it. The studio where a number of Star Trek fan films are shot, this is a very detailed and very accurate recreation of all the TOS sets.
Con GT – The Only Doctor Who Convention in the state of Tennessee! March 25-27 in Clarkesville, TN. This year’s guest of honor is Colin Baker.
Time Eddy – a Doctor Who convention taking place Oct 2-4 in Wichita Kansas.
