Three New Guests

Announce-WhyGeek

Three guests to announce today, all of them new to the WHOlanta family! Stephen Webb and Clay Dockery are the editors of the new anthology Why I Geek: An Anthology of Fandom Origin Stories. The book covers fandoms as varied as Star Trek, Star Wars, Twin Peaks, My Little Pony, The West Wing, Baseball and of course Doctor Who, explaining why we love the things we love and how we express that love. The two are also co-founders of Coal Hill, Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing fandom by creating fun and innovative podcasts, music, art, and interactive experiences focused on making geek culture educational, involved and inspirational.

Joining them is Cat Smith,  an actor, a musician, a cosplayer, yoga instructor, and general nuisance (General Nuisance *salute*). As an author, she is a contributor to the new charity anthology Why I Geek: An Anthology of Fandom Origin Stories. Cat will be bringing her unique musical stylings and her joie de vivre to WHOlanta, performing, appearing on panels, signing copies of her CD and leading yoga workshops.

The three will be appearing together in our Main Programming hall for a panel all about Why I Geek: An Anthology of Fandom Origin Stories and signing copies afterward.
